In April he announced on his blog, “It is very unlikely that I will survive into 2010. In fact, it will probably be sooner than that … as for my football site, I will be freezing it at the end of the current season and there will be no more updates after that.”

Tributes have been paid to Tony’s ‘tireless work’ and ‘labour of love’ in creating a site that provided in depth stats, not only about Premiership clubs, but also non-league competitions too.

A presentation took place before the match between Radford and Gedling Town when Radford FC Supporters Club Chairman ‘Rattlejack’ presented a cheque for £800 to club Chairman “ASDA” Bob Thomas. The money was raised from a 30 mile sponsored walk from Radford to Melton Mowbray (which Pete Kelly didn’t do) which took the magnificent seven walkers eight hours. Sadly the match between Radford and Holwell Sposts was postponed due to heavy snow but the walkers plodded on regardless. The money will be spent on ground equipment and a new PA system at Radford’s Selhurst Street ground.
