Panthers make it six thanks to Bergin
With a “Gordie Howe hat-trick” Kevin Bergin led the way in a 6-2 victory over visiting Belfast on Saturday night. Belfast tough guy McMorrow has been struggling to find willing opponents but Bergin had no hesitation in dropping the gloves at the first face-off of the match.
Rodgers bangs-in another for the Pies
It was another fairly successful away day for Notts County as they picked up a valuable point in blustery conditions against Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road. A first half goal from Luke Rodgers was just about enough to give the Pies a share of the points.
Turner secures a point for battling Eastwood
Ross Turner’s tremendous penalty save proved to be the turning point at a wind swept Rockingham Road. With the Badgers already a goal down and defender Jimmy Turner being surprisingly shown a straight red card for the innocuous challenge that led to the penalty.
