Selhurst Park is a pretty awful place to go at the best of times, but when your team is on the verge of matching a decades’ old record and within two points of the top spot, its bloody terrible. In truth, a point from this game is perfectly respectable and so is ninth place in the league in late October.

GMB Panthers claw back top spot
The GMB Panthers beat the Cardiff Devils 6-5 on Sunday night at the Trent FM Arena. Panthers twice held a two goal advantage and at one point were up by three before a late Devils fight-back produced a scoreline that didn’t really reflect the game.
