Another explosive and dramatic night at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham. Carl `The Cobra` Froch opened his account in the Super-Six Series Tournament with a win in style but only just. He had tough opposition against American Andre `The Matrix` Dirrell.

Blackstock goal topples the Toon Army
Under darkened, autumnal skies, the scene was set; a near capacity City Ground buzzing, thousands of away fans having made the long trip down from the North East. With many watching on T.V screens around the world the teams walking out of the tunnel were set to impress, and certainly did not let the neutrals down.

GMB Panthers enjoy cup success against Coventry
The National Ice Centre saw the Nottingham Panthers host the Coventry Blaze this weekend in a challenge cup group B match. The Panthers were looking to bounce back from Saturdays defeat to the Cardiff Devils.
