Much ado about Tyson
Forest won and it meant the world to the fans. It also meant the world to the players and management, hence the exuberant celebrations. Hot tempers go hand in hand with a match like that. So could Tyson’s final whistle celebrations be justified? Robbie Savage thinks not, but I don’t really think he’s the best person to pass judgement, do you?
Cuckney through to the East Midlands Cockspur Finals
Nottinghamshire Premier Cricket League Twenty20 Champions, Cuckney, won their way through the Cockspur ECB Twenty20 East Midlands Finals on Sunday 30th August at Wollaton C.C’s ground and are through the Midlands Final. To get there they had to win the round-robin competition which also involved Leicestershire’s champions, Kibworth and Lincolnshire champions Messingham.
Basford increase the gap in the NSL
Basford United have increased the gap at the top of the table to six points following a 3-1 bank holiday win against tenants Bulwell in the days early kick off. John Manders scored a first half hat-trick for United and Bulwell had playmaker Jay Knight sent off after just sixteen minutes. Dave Warden, scoring Bulwell’s consolation in the second half.
