County too sharp for the Daggers
Notts County kept up their 100% start at Meadow Lane with their second victory on home turf yesterday, this time a 3-0 triumph over then league leaders Dagenham & Redbridge. The Daggers had knocked the Magpies off top spot in midweek after a 5-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town, but after a poor performance at Chesterfield on Wednesday Ian McParland’s side were back on form.
McGoldrick earns Forest a point
After Billy Davies’ spending spree over the summer, we all knew it was going to take time to get the new look strike force to click. In the early stages of this game, things were very un-clicky. Radoslaw Majewski was at the centre of some great creative play by Forest – Garner, Cohen and McGoldrick could all have scored.
Colliery secure win thanks to Vets
With Radcliffe on Trent having secured the title last week, the action in Division A mainly centred round the battle for survival. As expected there were twists and turns meaning that five teams go into the final week with the real threat of relegation still hanging over them.
