King of the Ring goes off with a bang!
Hundreds of fight fans were treated to a great night of Mixed Martial Arts, Thai Boxing, Kick Boxing and Boxing at the Victoria Leisure Centre last Sunday with a packed crowd. The event showcased Nottingham’s best of the best with present and up and coming fighters. Hucknall’s Wayne Buck beat Jason Tyerdlesy of Manchester to become the K1 rules European King of the Ring Champion.
All change at the top of the Notts Premier
Cavaliers go top as Wollaton lose in week 5 of the Nottinghamshire Premier Cricket League programme. Wollaton travelled to Papplewick who won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first, restricting them to 127 for 9 in their 50 overs. Meanwhile current champions West Indian Cavaliers gave a workmanlike performance at home to Kimberley where the visitors won the toss and batted first only to be bowled out for 141 in 48 overs. Radcliffe go top of the G&M League
Radcliffe are now sole leaders of Division A in the G&M South Notts Cricket League. The south Nottinghamshire outfit were top from the start against Unity, reducing the home side to 38 for 6 thanks to an opening burst from Chris Holden (4 for 50) with Simon Ward (2 for 21) providing valuable support.
