Burton Joyce complete EMPAL League & Cup Double
Celebrations were ringing out of the Cross Keys in Burton Joyce as the village side defeated the Fox & Crown, in Basford to claim a league and cup double this season. Under the management of the maverick Tim Shepperson the club ran out 2-1 winners with two goals from Ben Allison and Paul Charles replying.
Kimberley remain on top spot
The 2nd week of matches in the Notts Premier saw Kimberley take all points in a low scoring game. Meanwhile newcomers Clifton travelled to Farnsfield who could only muster 97 runs to Cliftons 199, with Richard Harris (35) and Anthony Hart (34) top scoring for the south Nottingham side.
